Accessibility Statement

We're committed to an ocean-travel site that works for every traveler.

1. Our Commitment

Salty Reef is committed to making SaltyReef.net usable by the widest possible audience, including travelers with disabilities. We design and build our site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target standard.

2. Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our team reviews color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader semantics, form labeling, focus visibility, and responsive design across each meaningful update to the site.

3. Accessibility Features

Skip-to-main-content link, semantic landmarks, descriptive image alt text on editorial destination photography, labeled forms with visible focus indicators, keyboard-navigable menus and dialogs (built on Radix UI primitives), and color palettes chosen to meet AA contrast for body text.

4. Known Limitations

Some third-party embeds (newsletter previews, external podcast players, and user-submitted media) may not fully match our accessibility standards. We continue to work with our partners to improve these experiences and are happy to provide the same information in an accessible format on request.

5. Report an Issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on SaltyReef.net, please email Brian@SaltyReef.net with the page URL, a short description of the issue, and the assistive technology or browser you're using. We aim to respond within one business day and to remediate qualifying issues as promptly as possible.

6. Alternate Formats

If any content on this site is inaccessible to you, we will work with you to provide the information in an alternate format (email, phone, or accessible document).

7. Last Reviewed

This statement was last reviewed on July 22, 2026, and is updated whenever we complete a formal accessibility review.
